The billionaire businessman has racked up some wins, and a few losses, since becoming a major MAGA power player.

It all happened thanks to Elon Musk. Congress was on a glidepath to heading home for the holidays without much agitation, but the framework of an earlier proposed deal blew up after Musk posted over 150 times on X urging House Republicans to reject what was in place and go back to the drawing board.

Appearing on CNN, former White House official Anthony Scaramucci said Elon Musk was in a "perilous situation" with President-elect Donald Trump after some commentators began suggesting that the tech billionaire was the real incoming president.

Nevertheless, the deals — and xAI’s developer and consumer-facing products — have driven xAI’s revenue to around $100 million a year. For comparison, Anthropic is reportedly on pace to generate $1 billion in revenue this year, and OpenAI is targeting $4 billion by the end of 2024.
