The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) has announced a recall on frozen chicken and cheese taquitos sold at Aldi due to potential contamination of foreign material. The recall affects 24,870 pounds of the product.

A California company is recalling almost 25,000 pounds of frozen chicken and cheese taquito products after being suspected of metal contamination.

One person reported finding metal in the taquitos while another had a dental injury after eating them, the FSIS said.

Bestway Sandwiches Inc., a Valencia, California, establishment, is recalling approximately 24,870 pounds of frozen chicken and cheese taquito products that may be contaminated with foreign material, specifically metal, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service announced Tuesday.

At least one person was injured by the metal found inside their taquitos, but it's unknown how many were contaminated.
