Defenseman K’Andre Miller had a goal and an assist and Igor Shesterkin made 35 saves as the surging New York Rangers routed the Philadelphia Flyers 6-1.

Igor Shesterkin collected 20 saves en route to a shutout, and even entered into a fight behind his own net with Ottawa captain Brady Tkachuk in the third period, as the New York Rangers blanked the Senators 5-0 on Tuesday night at Madison Square Garden.

The attempt to acquire Miller may become more complicated if the 31-year-old winger is willing to waive his no-move clause to other destinations. If it is truly New York or Nowhere, the Rangers and GM Chris Drury have a fair amount of control over the process.

Igor Shesterkin made 20 saves, Alexis Lafreniere had a goal and an assist and the New York Rangers beat the Ottawa Senators 5-0 on Tuesday night. Arthur Kaliyev, Matt Rempe, Artemi Panarin and Will Cuylle also scored for the Rangers, who are 7-1-3 since Jan. 2 and have won three straight at home.

Joonas Korpisalo made 29 saves against his former team, David Pastrnak set up Morgan Geekie's goal and added an empty-netter and Boston beat Ottawa. Korpisalo had his third shutout of the season and seventh overall.
