Sun Pharmaceutical Industries on Monday said it will acquire immunotherapy and targeted oncology firm, Inc for up to USD 355 million.   As per the pact inked by the companies, Sun Pharma will pay upfront USD 4.

Sun Pharma will acquire Checkpoint Therapeutics for $355 million, expected to close by Q2 2025. The deal strengthens Sun Pharma’s oncology portfolio with FDA-approved UNLOXCYT for advanced cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (cSCC).

This is also Sun Pharma's second acquisition in less than three months and comes as the company looks to size up its specialty therapy portfolio.
