WASHINGTON — Former Trump White House national security adviser John Bolton said Tuesday that he has lost his Secret Service protective detail — one day after the 47th president canceled his security clearance, citing a 2020 tell-all book.

John Bolton said on Tuesday he was "disappointed but not surprised" that his Secret Service protection has been canceled by President Donald Trump.

The American people can judge for themselves which President made the right call," the onetime national security adviser said.

"I am disappointed but not surprised that President Trump has decided to terminate the protection previously provided by the United States Secret Service," John Bolton said.
