The Associated Press reported the former U.S. House speaker had hip-replacement surgery after falling during a December 2024 trip in Luxembourg.

According to her spokesperson, former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi will not attend Donald's inauguration, and no one can blame the California Democrat. Donald repeatedly mocked Pelosi and her husband, Paul, after he was violently attacked in 2022 by a hammer-wielding Trump supporter.

Pelosi is the second high-profile Democrat to skip Trump's inauguration. Former first lady Michelle Obama also said she would not attend the event.
