The Kraken have gone 5-1 versus Buffalo in their three-season history, although Buffalo won the most recent matchup, 6-2, last March in Seattle. This season’s series will conclude at Climate Pledge Arena on Jan. 20, kicking off a four-game western trip for the Sabres.

Buffalo Sabres goaltender Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen stopped all 35 shots he faced en route to defeating the Ottawa Senators on Thursday. The Sabres were heavily out-shot in this contest, but the 25-year-old was able to lead the way.

Luukkonen stopped 35 of 37 shots in Wednesday's 4-2 win over the Hurricanes. Luukkonen faced a lot of pressure, especially late in the contest, but he was able to come away with his third win in four starts.
