Less than an hour before the first groups hit their opening tee shots at the Farmers Insurance Open, Will Zalatoris decided to pull out of this week’s event at Torrey Pines. A reason for his withdrawal was not given.

Plano’s Will Zalatoris sits at 12-under par, just four strokes off the lead. While TCU’s Tom Hoge is at 6-under par and Dallas resident Tom Kim is at 2-under par.

The Trinity Christian Academy graduate is four strokes off the lead at PGA West in the Palm Springs-area desert.
