MINNEAPOLIS — Minnesota Democrats are drawing lessons from Tuesday’s off-year elections, arguing that romping victories for their party across the country provide a roadmap for governor, the Legislature and an open U.

Election wins for two state representatives Tuesday put Minnesota on track to beat its record of most special elections in one year.

Successful bids from two current House members mean there will be two more special elections, though likely not before the end of the year.
