Preliminary data is showing record-low voter turnout statewide on the final day of Washington state’s 2025 election cycle.

Allow the state’s Long-Term Services and Supports Trust Fund to invest in stocks and other equities.

One county-wide levy passed, another failed and a third’s result won’t count after Washington County residents went to the polls Tuesday. A five-year, 0.85-mill senior services replacement levy passed with 58.

The first ballot count for the Washington General Election dropped around 8 p.m. on Tuesday. The second set will drop around 4 p.m. or 5 p.m. depending on the county.

The King County Election Headquarters in Renton is packed on Tuesday with employees sorting and counting ballots. Today all the ballots turned into drop boxes across the entirety of King County will go to that one facility. They are being delivered by trucks and vans constantly as people continue to drop them in last minute.

Voters who live within the Auburn School District will have two propositions on the ballot for the November General Election.

Voter service locations opened at 7 a.m. Tuesday for the November special election across Oregon and Washington, with polls remaining open until 8 p.m.

Democratic incumbent Sen. Deb Krishnadasan led Republican challenger Rep. Michelle Caldier Tuesday in the hottest and most expensive Washington legislative race of the year. Krishnadasan took 52.7% of the votes tallied on election night to Caldier’s 47.3% in the 26th Legislative District, which includes parts of Pierce and Kitsap counties.
