He set an NHL record for becoming the first goaltender in NHL history to record a shutout as a teenager and at 40 years old.

Minnesota Wild veteran goal keeper Marc-Andre Fleury made his mark in the NHL history books after his shutout against the Canadiens.

Fleury, who grew up in Quebec, likely played his final career game in Montreal, as he plans to retire after this season. Even after getting shut out, the Canadiens and their fans didn't miss making the most of a special night for the future Hall of Fame goaltender.

Marc-Andre Fleury never played a game for the Canadiens, but Montreal made sure to say au revoir in its own special way.

Fleury's family is ready for his curtain call in Montreal as well. In an Instagram Story post, Fleury's wife, Veronique Larosee, shared a photo of her and their kids getting ready for the travel to Montreal. "Off to Montreal," Larosee wrote in part.

Fleury is retiring at season’s end, after 21 seasons in the NHL, which has included stops with the Pittsburgh Penguins, Vegas Golden Knights and Chicago Blackhawks before joining Minnesota. He is from Sorel, just outside of Montreal, and this was his last time playing at the Bell Center.
