Isaac Allen contributed eight points and three rebounds, while Jack Sabolik had five points and an assist. Rounding out WCA’s stats, Simon Moritz had three points and two rebounds, Owen Sanstead had two points, two rebounds, one assist, and one steal, and Carter Kjesbo had two deflections, two rebounds, and one assist.

Alexandria hosts No. 9 (Class 4A) Sauk Rapids-Rice (13-4) at 7:15 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 31, and No. 2 (Class 3A) Orono (11-3) at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 8. Sauk Rapids-Rice beat Alexandria, 81-76, on Dec. 7, 2024, in a game where Thompson was out with an injury.

Benilde-St. Margaret’s boys basketball is 11-0 on the season and sits atop the Class 3A rankings. KSTP Sports stopped by the team’s practice this week and spoke with head coach Damain Johnson and senior power forward Jalen Wilson. Wilson and fellow senior Jaleel Donley are among players on the Mr. Basketball watch list.
