Just days into President Donald Trump’s second term, federal agents have begun to raid homes and businesses in Austin and across the country, looking for immigrants who have entered the country illegally.

The state has vowed to assist the president in his efforts to revamp immigration. But the state’s biggest cities and school districts are more reluctant to help.

On the heels of President Donald Trump's missive to deport immigrants who may be in the country without legal status, federal agents on Sunday conducted several raids across Texas, targeting major cities and arresting dozens of individuals.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement are carrying out operations across the state, and that does include in Houston, and also in Galveston.
