Ubisoft is in an extremely rough spot right now with the announcement that its imminent large-scale Assassin’s Creed game, Shadows,

Ubisoft said the decision had been made in light of Shadow's recent release delay. As announced earlier this week, Assassin's Creed Shadows will now debut on 14th February 2025, instead of its previously planned November arrival. Those who had pre-ordered the game will receive refunds.

Assassins’ Creed began as a game about sneaking up behind people and stabbing them. Decades later it’s much, much more, and the latest game in the franchise, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, appears to be building on its ever more complex open-world RPG architecture with a new base-building minigame that looks straight out of a management sim.
