State government's nod to the long-awaited project of a ropeway between Bhunter and Bijli Mahadev shrine has spread a wave of cheer among the people of Kharahal valley in Kullu district.

Known as Bijli (thunder) Mahadev, the temple is situated in the pretty village of Kashawri in Kullu Valley. The temple stands at an elevation of 2460 m and is dedicated to Lord Shiva.
