A bad week for New Era's "overlap" MLB hats just got worse. MLB removed the Los Angeles Angels and Houston Astros versions of the hats from its online stores Tuesday, according to Front Office Sports.
The Angels', Rangers' and Astros' New Era Overlap hats that feature a mashup of the teams' logos have been pulled from stores because those designs proved to have controversial names.
The Rangers hat that was initially removed spelled out a vulgar Spanish word. The other 27 MLB team hats from the line are still available. New Era really should have thought this entire line through.
