The Eagles are releasing veteran cornerback Darius Slay as a salary cap casualty. Philadelphia save roughly $4 million with the release of the 34-year old. Slay has no intention of retiring, so he will be available to sign.

The Eagles are also releasing Slay's cornerback partner in Bradberry, the NFL Network reported Tuesday. Bradberry, an All Pro opposite Slay in 2022, regressed in 2023. He spent last summer learning how to play safety before going on injured reserve with a lower leg injury. He stayed on IR for the entire season.

He was a terrific cornerback and a mentor to his heir, Quinyon Mitchell. But there's no need to panic over whether the Eagles can thrive without him. They can.
