While Donkey Kong’s redesign was revealed back in 2022, in the lead up to The Super Mario Bros. Movie, it was only given a full showcase in the Switch 2 Direct on Wednesday.

At the very end, it revealed a brand-new 3D platformer starring Donkey Kong. This is the first game of its type since Donkey Kong 64 hit the Nintendo 64 all the way back in 1999.
