One person was killed Monday afternoon in a fire that broke out in a building for low-income disabled people and seniors, according to Seattle Fire Department officials.
The fire, which started in Goldwire’s seventh-floor apartment in the Green Lake Plaza at about 1:30 p.m., displaced 15 people from the 11-story housing complex, which the housing authority operates.
