MANCHESTER, N.H. — In a sure sign of warmer weather ahead this spring, ice-out has been declared on Lake Winnipesaukee. Emerson Aviation made the declaration at 7:02 a.m. Wednesday.

This year’s ice-out is in line with other ice-outs across southern and central Minnesota that are running 2-3 weeks earlier than normal. The median ice-out for Lake Minnetonka is April 14.
