WRBL News 3 spoke with Deputy Chief of Operation Daniel Macon who confirmed that eight units responded to the fire at the vacant church on the corner of 24th Street and Veterans Parkway around 9 p.m.

Street Baptist Church is being demolished, while Shiloh Baptist Church will be preserved for generations to come.
