Light snow falling around the Portland/Vancouver area has some schools starting the day 2 hours late, and adjusting bus service for students. Schools outside the metro area are more likely to see accumulating snow as precipitation will be showery much of Wednesday.

With winter weather hitting the Pacific Northwest on Monday morning, school districts in Oregon and Washington have announced delayed openings, snow bus routes and some cancelations.

The Washington State Patrol reported 122 accidents in King County between Sunday morning and Monday morning, prompting warnings about icy road conditions.

As of 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, Corbett, Oregon Trail and Rainier districts have closed schools due to hazardous road conditions. The forecast calls for spotty snow showers through Wednesday morning in the Portland/Vancouver area, but locations above 1,000 feet may see snow throughout the day.
