NEW YORK — The Philadelphia 76ers selected Baylor freshman guard VJ Edgecombe with the third overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft on Wednesday night. The 19-year-old Edgecombe had an outstanding season for the Bears, averaging 15 points, 5.6 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game.

V.J. Edgecombe is heading to the Philadelphia 76ers, getting picked third overall in Wednesday’s NBA draft. The 6-foot-4 guard, who averaged 15 points per game as a freshman in his lone season at Baylor, is the first Bears player to ever go in the Top 5 of the NBA draft.
