The GOP-controlled House approved a resolution Friday that would overturn a new Biden administration rule on automobile emissions.

The Republican-led U.S. House of Representatives voted to repeal the Biden administration's tailpipe emissions rule on Friday. In March, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) issued a rule on the sale of electronic vehicles, or EVs, that officials called the most ambitious plan ever to cut global-warming emissions from cars.

Critics argue that the EPA’s “Multi-Pollutant Emissions Standards for Model Years 2027 and Later Light-Duty and Medium-Duty Vehicles” sets emission standards so low it forces automakers to increase production of electric vehicles to comply with the new rules.
