High school teacher placed on leave after lesson about N-word. A Spring Branch ISD teacher was removed from the classroom after posting an assignment about the offensive word.

Some people described the lesson as unnecessary. The school, meanwhile, maintained that the historical context was the only one in which it found the use of the word justified.
