BART tracks reopened in Pittsburg on Thursday morning, hours after a vehicle crashed onto the trackway and killed someone in the car, according to the transit agency. Around 3:40 a.m., the vehicle entered the BART tracks about 100 feet south of the Pittsburg/Bay Point station. First responders confirmed an occupant of the vehicle died in the crash.
