The Atlanta Braves announced Tuesday that they had acquired right-hander Hunter Stratton from the Pittsburgh Pirates and then optioned him to Triple-A Gwinnett. In return, the Pirates received outfielder Titus Dumitru. To open up a spot on the 40-man roster, the club moved Chris Sale to the 60-day injured list.

When the Braves come to town in August, they could have Bluff City native Hunter Stratton in the lineup. The Braves acquired the right-handed pitcher from the Pirates for a minor league outfielder and cash considerations.
