No. 3 LSU's defense rose to the occasion in another spotlight situation on Saturday night as the Tigers intercepted Florida quarterback DJ Lagway five times in a 20-10 victory. LSU needed all the help its defense could offer amid another subpar offensive effort.
The No. 4 LSU Tigers (2-0) meet a fellow SEC opponent when they host the Florida Gators (1-1) on Saturday, Sept. 13, 2025 at Tiger Stadium. The Tigers have covered three times in those games while going over the point total on three occasions.
BATON ROUGE, La.-- DJ Lagway threw a career-high five interceptions, the run game was stuffed and the Florida Gators on Saturday fell to 1-2 for the second season in a row with a 20-10 loss at No. 3 LSU.
A final interception by Lagway — picked off by DJ Pickett — was all the LSU home crowd needed to see to celebrate the Tigers' victory. Florida will travel to Miami next Saturday to seek redemption against the Miami Hurricanes.
