No. 14 Iowa State is 3-0 largely thanks to allowing just 41 total points so far. ISU is fresh off a rivalry win over the Iowa Hawkeyes (push on a -3 with a 16-13 victory). The Cyclones also played the Red Wolves after last year's Iowa game and ISU won that game 52-7 covering a -20.5. That 2024 meeting was the first between Iowa State and ASU.

Jaylen Raynor threw for 222 yards and rushed for 83 for Arkansas State (1-2), which had consecutive touchdowns nullified by penalties early in the fourth quarter and had to settle for a 40-yard field goal from Clune Van Andel — his third of the game — that got the Red Wolves within one.
