In a Reddit post on r/Parenting that recently resurfaced, one mom is asking the Internet if it's normal for the guests at a Build-a-Bear birthday party to give their newly made bears to the birthday kid.

She said that if you are going to give the birthday kid a gift, it can’t have any colors, it can’t make noise, and it has to be waste-free, meaning there shouldn’t be any plastic in the toy and/or the packaging.
