Former state representative Charles Booker announced his candidacy for the United States Senate Wednesday, vying for Republican Mitch McConnell's seat.

Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-Mass.), a member of the progressive “squad,” said Tuesday that she’s passing on a Senate bid for Sen. Ed Markey’s (D-Mass.) seat and will instead run for reelection in Massachusetts’s 7th Congressional District.
