A new game show looking for the Ultimate “Friends” Fan is coming to Max in honor of the 30th anniversary of the beloved NBC sitcom.

To mark the 30th anniversary of Friends, Max has greenlit a four-episode game show based on the classic comedy. Titled Fast Friends, the show is set to begin production next month at The Friends Experience interactive exhibit in New York. Warner Bros. Unscripted Television and Warner Horizon are behind the show.

"Fast Friends" will test competitors' knowledge of the iconic sitcom on recreations of classic sets from the show.

The series is similar to the trivia contest Max announced in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Harry Potter movies a few years ago. Friends celebrated its 30th anniversary on September 22, 2024 — with the show being remastered in 4K as part of the celebrations.

Max is rolling out an expansive global campaign to honor Friends' 30th anniversary, featuring fan-favorite episodes, featurettes,, & more.

The campaign also features interviews with the creative team behind the hit series that still remains a cornerstone of pop culture.
