NEW BERLIN, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Amongst 29 other contestants, a 22-year-old from Racine became the first Black woman to win the title of Miss Wisconsin 2025 on Saturday, June 21.

Newell is first Black Miss Wisconsin Newell’s path to the state crown began in 2017 when she entered the Miss America’s Teen program. She was named Miss Kenosha in 2023 and Miss Racine in 2024.
