A group of cycling advocates is petitioning to add bike and pedestrian lanes to Maryland's new Chesapeake Bay Bridge.

Dozens of Anne Arundel County biking groups are coming together in an effort to put bike and pedestrian lanes into the design plans for the new Chesapeake Bay Bridge.

Chesapeake Bay is at a turning point. Once severely polluted, the bay has seen major improvements in recent years. But President Trump's proposed budget would slash key programs.

Chesapeake city councilmembers voted against a proposed data center in the Great Bridge area at their meeting Tuesday night.
