The Los Angeles City Planning Commission has given the green light to a planned high-rise mixed-use development in downtown.

The conversion of the office building on Broadway to a hotel is believed to be the largest in California in recent memory.

Michelle Banfield, Barrie’s executive director of development services, said city staff have issued site plan control conditions, as of June 9, 2025.
