Paco Zheng - Oct 21, 2019 Last month, Huawei released its new flagship model, the Mate 30 Pro, which is one of the most important smartphones of 2019, featuring a powerful hardware and camera setup.

The Mate 30 Pro has an awesome camera setup that takes great photos across all sorts of different conditions - but we already knew that. How it fits in the Huawei lineup is a little tricky, however.

We captured photo samples over a period of two weeks using two Mate 30 Pro devices supplied by HUAWEI. The devices were Chinese units (model number LIO-AL00) running pre-production software.

The Mate 30 Pro offers exceptionally low noise and huge amounts of detail from its pixel-binned 40MP camera (shooting at 10MP). Sadly, DxO didn’t get around to testing the 40MP shooting mode yet.
