Casa de Campo now has several world-class golf courses, polo and equestrian centers, a 245-acre shooting center, a racquet center and the Altos de Chavon artists village.

It's housed within the luxurious Casa de Campo resort, so visitors will need to pay an entrance fee of $50 per adult and $25 per child. Hours vary for the attractions inside Altos de Chavón.

Sounds good, right? For dinner, we headed to the on-site 16th- century Mediterranean village that is Altos de Chavon, where we dined at La Piazzetta.
