Born on March 3, 1839, in Gujarat's Navsari, Jamshedji Tata was the founder of the Tata Group. He and his future generations worked hard to build Tata into a synonym for trust and reliability.
By 1991, he succeeded J.R.D. Tata as chairman of Tata Group. During his 21-year tenure, Tata led the group to new heights, acquiring global brands like Tetley, Jaguar-Land Rover, and Corus Steel.
