The official names of the team's new colors: Mountain Purple, Midnight Black and Sky Blue. The colors are a callback to the John Stockton / Karl Malone -era jerseys worn from 1996 to 2004.

The design is a modern take on the purple mountain jersey the team wore from 1996-2004, and also features a gradient look popularized by past city edition designs.
