QUESTION: When we bought our house 25 years ago, we inherited a boxwood hedge on both sides of the front porch facing south. This hedge lines the outside of the circular drive in front of our house.

Sandy has planted 12 varieties of boxwood -- 420 of them, and not just as hedges. Some are left to grow naturally. Others, like tall, thin 'Graham Blandy,' are not meant to be sheared.
