Some notes about hiking in Anza-Borrego Desert State Park: Don't pick the flowers, stay on the trails and don't bring your dog on the trails or to wilderness areas. Also, parking is $10 a day.
The hike is mostly wooded, but there are plenty of wildflowers along the way. Look out for lewisia, desert parsley, starflower, yarrow, heartleaf buckwheat. Best viewing: May and June.
