Pobjecky is a Winnebago County deputy and ran for sheriff in 2013. In 2011, Pobjecky was off-duty when he shot and killed a 16-year-old who was trying to rob Marie’s Pizza in Rockford.

Scaling back the size of the County Board will save anywhere from $40,000 to $60,000 each year. Board members make $5,000 annually and $100 for each meeting they attend up to $2,500.
