The Trump administration will move the FBI headquarters from the storied Brutalist-era J. Edgar Hoover building to the Ronald Reagan Building blocks away, it said Tuesday.

Maryland Democrats were quick to condemn the announcement, saying it disregards the safety of the men and women of the FBI.

The new FBI headquarters is less than a mile away from the former headquarters at the J. Edgar Hoover Building. The FBI called the Ronald Reagan complex a “world-class facility that supports the FBI’s critical mission and saves money for taxpayers.”
