The new iPad Air features the M3 chip, offers two screen sizes, and supports all the Apple Intelligence features. The 2024 iPad Pro, on the other hand, stands its ground as the most powerful tablet ever made.

The M4 chip, which is also expected to appear on a new MacBook Air, which could also launch this week, was first introduced on the iPad Pro (2024). Since then, the M4, M4 Pro, and M4 Max chips have appeared on last year’s MacBook Pro.

The M3 processor is the big selling point of the new iPad Air. Apple says this will make the device nearly twice as fast as the M1 iPad Air (which came out in 2022), and up to three times faster than the iPad Air with A14 Bionic (which came out in 2020).
