Kelly Dever, a controversial witness in the Karen Read murder retrial who testified to having a “false memory,” has resigned from the Boston Police Department.

According to the BPD, Officer False Memory Kelly Dever was officially separated from the job Sept. 1, three months to the day after her train-wreck testimony in Karen Read’s second murder trial.
