President Donald Trump has wasted no time dismantling climate policies and promising a new era of fossil-fuel dominance, withdrawing the US from the Paris Agreement on his first day back in office.

Trump signed an executive order that begins the process of withdrawing from the Paris Climate Agreement, which he also did during his first term.

The president on Monday announced his intention to withdraw the country, for the second time, from the global emissions reduction pact.
