While Rodgers remains unsigned, Steelers president Art Rooney II provided an update on where the team currently stands with the future Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback. Rodgers told Pat McAfee last week that he has remained in contact with Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin as he continues to ponder his future.

Steelers owner Art Rooney II said in a radio interview Friday that the embattled quarterback “does want to come here” and could let the club know his intentions in the near future. “We’re still kind of getting the same signals that we’ve been getting recently,” Rooney said to Steelers Nation Radio.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have been on the hunt for a quarterback for weeks. The first round of the 2025 NFL Draft didn't bring a conclusion to the saga, as Pittsburgh opted to bolster its trenches, as opposed to going for a rookie quarterback.
