Woodstock Willie has once again predicted an early spring Sunday morning during the 2025 Groundhog Day celebration in northwest suburban Woodstock. A large crowd gathered to see if they would need to hold onto their coats for a few more weeks or start getting together their spring clothes.

Sunday morning marked Groundhog Day, with Punxsutawney Phil and numerous other groundhogs across the country, including Woodstock Willie, making their prediction on whether we will see an early spring or six more weeks of winter.

Woodstock Willie says you won’t have to hold onto your hats and gloves for much longer because spring is just around the corner. Meanwhile, Punxsutawney Phil in Pennsylvania predicted the opposite.
