Sep 11, 2023 · It's almost certain that this device will have very heavy trade-offs and cut corners to achieve goals in comparison to the Quest 3 launching in a few weeks (ie. it might use the XR2 Gen 1 rather than the modern XR2 Gen 2, no Mixed Reality, etc.) they may not even have Quest "3" in the name to make that even more clear, like they did with Pro.

well, the quest 3 lite is going to be cutting some of the features of the quest 3, some of the big things, like the pancake lenses, and depth sensor, along with the full color pass through. it's really a pay-to-win kind of thing. the quest lite is really aimed as a budget-friendly kind of thing, and its not going to be as good as the quest 3.
