The Xbox One X is designed to intake air through the left and right sides, and exhaust hot air out the back. IT WILL NOT INTAKE AIR FROM THE BACK. By putting the console on its side WITHOUT A STAND, you're effectively cutting off half the air intake of the Xbox.

Jul 10, 2022 · Just tested this, using same controller on my Xbox One and PC (with a xbox wireless adaptor), you can dim or turn off the brightness when its connected to the Xbox one but as soon as you pair the controller back with the PC, the brightness on the controller goes back to 100% brightness.

Worth opening up your Xbox to see whether it is TSOPed or chipped but if it is a v1.6 MB it can only be chipped.

Jun 8, 2023 · The fix to get it working again involves unplugging all hdmi plugs from tv. Then unplugging Xbox hdmi from back of Xbox. Then I turn tv back on and plug in hdmis to it. Then plug hdmi back into Xbox and turn Xbox on. Cec then handshakes again and all works fine til Xbox does something to break it again.
